We see that solid herringbone and Hungarian point floors have increased tremendously in popularity in recent years. These more special laying patterns possess a modern and playful look and are easy to combine with different interior styles.    <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">At Kerkhofs Parquet, we specialize in manufacturing herringbone and Hungarian point floors, available in both solid and engineered wood. These patterned floors remain popular with a certain segment of customers who value durability, luxury and longevity. These floors are also very popular in renovation projects.  <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The classic patterns can be fully customized to any size. The choice of the size of the planks is related to the space and desired look: smaller sizes give a traditional atmosphere, while larger planks have a modern and spacious look.   <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p><h3><strong>The difference between herringbone and Hungarian point  <\/strong><\/h3><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Because these two striking laying patterns are very similar, they are often mixed up. The difference between the two floors is small, but you can quickly tell the difference if you keep the following differences in mind.   <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In the herringbone laying pattern, the planks are laid perpendicular to each other at a 90-degree angle and the grooves are stepped. This creates a woven effect.   <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">With the Hungarian point is just different, because in this laying pattern the planks are laid at a 45 or 60 degree angle. The top piece of the planks lies against each other. This gives you a kind of point, also called the \u201csergeant&#8217;s stripe,\u201d and so you see more straight strips. This makes the Hungarian point appear more visually calm than the herringbone pattern.     <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In addition to herringbone and Hungarian point, we also offer other patterned floors: think mansion weave, 3D cube and Vienna point, in a variety of wood species.
