This stable parquet floor consists of a hardwood top layer and a very stable carpet pad. This parquet is perfect for our changing climate with regularly changing humidity.

The construction of duo-planks A duo-plank parquet floor is composed of two layers as multilayer parquet. The plywood underlayment has a thickness of 9 to 15 mm, while the hardwood top layer varies between 3 and 6 mm. Kerkhofs Parket supplies duo-planks completely as desired in widths from 9 to as much as 30 cm. You can order this type of parquet in more than 20 wood species. Again, the most commonly used wood is European oak.

Finishing and installation of plywood flooring

Kerkhofs Parket supplies plywood both untreated and treated. Treatment is possible with varnish or oil, depending on the intended end result. An untreated plywood floor should always be lightly sanded and oiled after installation.

Advantages of plywood

The layered construction of duo planks prevents the parquet from working. In addition, the floor can be installed perfectly floating. The combination with underfloor heating poses no problem at all. This type of parquet (up to thickness of 16 mm) perfectly suits our climate with its ever-changing humidity.
