Wood type

Padua

Parquet floors in padauk have a very exceptional coral red to almost purple brown color with a moderately fine grain. The black of the grain stands out beautifully against the coral red or purple brown color. This African hardwood is very stable, so it hardly has any action. Because paddy wood discolors quickly under the influence of light, finishing must be done quickly. Lacquer is often chosen, but hard wax or oil are also possible.
