Wood type

Red American oak

Red American oak varies in color from light brown to rose brown. Red oak has open barrels, larger growth rings and coarser markings than white oak. Red oak is less durable than white oak, but is more easily preserved by treatment. After proper drying, the wood is very dimensionally stable. Oak is ideal for parquet flooring. Using oil or varnish, you can give it the color and look you want.
