We joined forces with Van Looveren Parket, specialists in the installation of parquet floors, for yet another project together: new construction ASR in Dessel. In the high-end residence with 60 assisted living units, you will find no less than 4,000m2 of parquet from Kerkhofs.
Solid half-stone bond
For the realization in the residential care center, an 8mm solid half-stone bond, also called English bond, was chosen. In addition, the customer also wants a floor that is durable with a beautiful finish. We take care of that with Loba 2K InvisibleProtect AT lacquer, an ultra-matte protective coating with a natural color that gives the appearance of untreated wood. In addition to the fine interplay of lines in the motif floor as an aesthetic highlight, we were also thinking long term. The great advantage of this parquet floor is that it lends itself extremely well to renovation. Is an assisted living facility getting a new resident and is it time for a refresh? No problem. The parquet floor chosen, an 8mm solid floor, lends itself perfectly to the application of a new finish layer and frequent sanding without any breaking. Depending on the type of parquet, it is even possible to renovate the floor several times. Finally, Oak is a strong and hard type of wood, making it less likely for unevenness to form. Oak scores both with its light color, and in terms of price-quality. Just as we are known for top quality at a fair price.”
